ICBC Fight Fraud Claims

The Insurance Corporation of British columbia says that B.C. motorists saved more than $70 million in 2004 thanks to its anti-fraud programs. ICBC explains that the figure is based on the estimated value of fraudulent claims that were denied, money recovered and savings fenerated through fraud prevention. The public insurer points out that its fraud-fighting efforts led ot 84 criminal charges against 56 people last year, with 61 convictions being obtained to date.
