Canadian Underwriter's April 2006 Web Poll
Canadian Underwriter's April 2006 Web Poll asked the question:
Should whistleblowers in an insurance company receive immunity from sanction after leaking internal, confidential information about high-risk activities to insurance regulators?
Three quarters of the 189 respondents said whistleblowers in an insurance company should receive immunity. The scale weighed heavily towards the informant's side of the spectrum, with 74.6% of respondents saying they should have protection and a mere 25.4% saying immunity should not be granted.
